Complementary personhood and gender: An interrogation within African philosophy

In this paper, I argue for an Afro-communitarian account of personhood that considers the value complementarity as a necessary part human existence. The reason conceptualizing complementary enterprise is to dispel understanding gender sustains inequality. aim explore logic characterizes specific kind can complementarity. universalized idea patriarchy and gender, construed within Western feminist theorizing, cannot every society these concepts differ from culture culture. use lens through which fluid relations be drawn against backdrop hierarchy binary opposition undergird most interrogations patriarchy. To do so, present overview what entails. preceding elucidation would become basis Afro-centric notion relation. then tease out Afro- centric triangle using Ezumezu logical system its background logic.
